Wiltshire Defense Company Receives £2.4 Million for Global Market Expansion

A Wiltshire company that supplies equipment to naval forces across the global sphere has received £2.4 million to expand its operations in global markets. Leafield Logistics, based in Colerne near Chippenham, manages and supplies parts for naval ships and defense systems, as well as other surplus material from the United Kingdom Ministry of Defence.

The company, which was founded 30 years ago, already has relationships with 16 international navies from NATO and allied nations, with exports accounting for more than 90% of the company’s operations.

The company has now received multi-million-pound government assistance to improve its working capital cycle and allow it to pursue more international deals and larger contracts.

“Our business is one that is international by nature. UKEF’s support has helped us to reinforce our cash flow so that we can continue bringing British naval expertise to the rest of the world, whether through spare part sourcing, manufacturing or our solutions development offering,” stated, Jon Webster, Managing Director at Leafield Logistics and Technical Services.
