Tata is attempting to accelerate the manufacturing of its zero-emission vehicles to satisfy demand; in the last two months, 5,500 to 6,000 reservations for EVs were made. Because of the positive response to the Nexon EV and Tigor EV, Tata Motors is currently the market leader in the passenger electric car category.
According to a recent internet article, the local automaker is trying to raise the production of its zero-emission vehicles to fulfill demand. Tata has received 5,500 to 6,000 bookings for its electric range in the last two months. Shailesh Chandra, Managing Director, Tata Motors Passenger Vehicle and Electric Vehicles, stated in an interview that demand for EVs is substantially surpassing supply.
In 2021-22, Tata had a market share of just over 85% in the passenger electric vehicle segment, and EV sales might account for 30% of total sales by the end of the decade.
