SpaceX Launches Mission to International Space Station

Early Sunday aboard a Falcon 9 rocket SpaceX launched a Dragon cargo capsule from Florida on a big predawn ascent into orbit, kicking off the corporation’s 23rd commercial resupply flight to the International Space Station.

The two-stage Falcon 9 rocket, towering 215 feet (65 metres) tall, roared to life, and launched away from NASA’s Kennedy Space Center at 3:14:49 a.m. EDT (0714:49 GMT), an instant takes off chance dictated by the moment Earth’s rotation moved the spaceport beneath the orbital plane of the space station.

A launch endeavour Saturday morning was cancelled due to windy weather at the space center.
