Samsung to Assemble Second Generation Tensor Chip for Pixel 7 Series

In a recent report by Naver, Google has once again collaborated with Samsung to assemble a second-generation Tensor chip for the Pixel 7 series. Last year, Samsung manufactured Tensor chips for Google’s Pixel 6 series devices on its 5nm process node.

According to the report, Samsung Electronics will be making a second-generation Tensor chip for Google’s Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro devices. The mass production of the chip will be initiated at Samsung Electronics Foundries this month.

Additionally, the report states that Samsung will be using a 4 nm process node for developing the Tensor chip. The Pixel 7 and 7 Pro devices are expecteds to be launched in October this year.
