International Energy Agency (IEA) Insists to End Sales of Petrol and Diesel Car by the Year 2035

International Energy Agency (IEA) announced a global end to sales of new petrol and diesel cars by 2035. There is a vast scaling up of investments in clean energy sources to boost overall energy security.

The Intergovernmental Group of mostly wealthy western countries including the UK and US mentioned, “Progress on cutting emissions from road vehicles plunges to what is essential to deal with climate change.”

It was published on Tuesday by IEA and United Nations Climate High-Level Champions, which call for stronger International collaboration towards the affecting climate change. On a global level, it marks a key sign of continuous clean energy.

Electric cars accounted for just 1pc of all cars on road in 2021, but the range needs to reach 20-25pc by 2030 to bring the World on track for climate change aims.
