Google to Test Augmented Reality Glasses in Public

Google is ready to begin the public testing of its AR glasses after announcing the initiative earlier this year at its I/O developer conference. This project aims to create assistance for the user.

These glasses would rely on audio assistance using built-in cameras to recognize objects with the help of AI. This would be similar to Google Lens, but with extra limitations on taking photos or videos. The glasses currently are entirely focused on training the AI for better recognition.

Google tested similar glasses over a decade ago, but this project is much smaller and more focused than the previous one. Google has not announced plans for the glasses to be available commercially yet.
