The renowned e-commerce marketplace Flipkart recently stated that it has hired 23000 people across the country in various capacities, including delivery executives, throughout the span of three months (March-May 2021).
Flipkart’s Senior Vice President, Supply Chain, Hemant Badri stated that as people continue to stay indoors to fight the virus, there has been a growing demand for e-commerce services across the country. As a result, there is the major requirement of ramping-up the supply chain and creating thousands of employment opportunities for people.
The company also informed that it is carrying out training programs in various aspects of the supply chain for the direct hires.
The company is conducting a mix of classroom and digital training so that the new hires clearly understand different concepts of supply chain management. Sources have stated that Flipkart is conducting these training sessions through various digital platforms and mobile applications such as Whatsapp, Zoom, and Hangout, in addition to Flipkart’s own learning management system.
