China witnesses establishment of first charging station of Tesla with energy storage facilities

Electric vehicle giant Tesla Inc stated that on Wednesday, with its own solar and energy storage facilities, it has established its first charging station in China. The charging station has been opened in Lhasa city and will use sunlight to generate power, while will be stored in storage facilities for electric vehicles to charge.

Tesla started participating in the solar business after it purchased California-based SolarCity for $2.6 billion. The company has always expressed its interest of developing its energy business.

Solar Roof, a power generating system which looks like normal roof tiles, and Powerwall, which can store power generated by solar panels, are all a part of Tesla’s solar services.

In 2020, Tesla, which is making electric vehicles in Shanghai, put out job ads for solar and energy storage managers in China.
